Twenty One Pilots – Pet Cheetah

Pet Cheetah drum sheet music – a note-for-note accurate transcription of the drum part on Twenty One Pilots’ “Pet Cheetah”, from the album Trench (2018). The whole groove is written out from the original recording in a clean, print-ready PDF.

About Pet Cheetah drum sheet music

“Pet Cheetah” is from Trench, Twenty One Pilots’ fifth album, which continued the story begun on Blurryface. The song mixes rap verses with a heavy, modern production.

The groove is modern and hip-hop-influenced, transcribed from the original drum programming. It is great for learning to play programmed-style beats on a real kit – with precision, consistent dynamics and a strong pocket.

A drum transcription taken from the original recording

This Pet Cheetah drum transcription was written bar by bar from Twenty One Pilots' studio recording and checked against the track. It is not a live take and nothing is simplified – these are the Pet Cheetah drum notes exactly as they were played on the record.

The notation is clean and professionally engraved, with clearly marked sections and repeats, so it is quick to find your place when you jump to a fill or a chorus. Print it for your music stand or keep it on a tablet – both work well.

6. Record yourself. Compare your timing with the original.

Why note-for-note sheet music?

Most free Pet Cheetah drum tabs are rough sketches – the main groove, maybe a fill or two, and rhythms that are hard to read. Note-for-note sheet music shows exactly what was played and when, so you learn the real part instead of an approximation, and you learn it faster.

Who is this sheet music for?

Pet Cheetah drum sheet music suits beginner-to-intermediate drummers who want to learn hip-hop-style grooves, and Twenty One Pilots fans.
