About Sting
Sting first became famous as the singer and bassist of The Police, before starting a hugely successful solo career in 1985. His albums mix rock, pop, jazz and world music, and he has always worked with top musicians – including drummers Omar Hakim, Manu Katché and Vinnie Colaiuta.
Ten Summoner’s Tales (1993) is one of his most popular solo albums and a favourite of drummers, because songs in odd time signatures such as “Seven Days” still sound natural and relaxed.
